Boracay, located within the 7107 Islands of the Philippines, is the quintessential tropical island paradise. Just and hour’s flight time from Manila, it offers extensive powder white sand beaches, clear azure seas and shady palm trees that are perfect for relaxation. The more active tourist will enjoy scuba diving, wind surfing and a wide range of similar activities.
The nightlife has something for everyone, from peaceful restaurants to vibrant bars and clubs.
There are three main beaches: White Beach on the west side of the island, which is the focus of the tourist industry; Bulabog Beach on the east side, which has a coral reef and a more relaxed atmosphere than White Beach; and Puka Beach in the north, a quite peaceful pink coloured beach named after the Puka shells that once covered the beach.
The local airport at Caticlan, a short boat ride away, is served by several airlines with daily flights from Manila and Cebu.
